Vigilant Watch Guild Responsibilities | Guild Rank: GM Assist
1 main per GM Assist Rank, additional alts will have officer alt rank

The role of GM Assist is a very prestigious rank within Vigilant Watch. With this role comes several benefits including: complete access to all bank tabs (except GM tabs), mumble management, web site admin, and a lot of trust and recongition of being amazing.

GM Assists were directly appointed by GM Actives. There roles are in assisting GM Actives, overseeing officers and guildees, maintaining policy, etc.

Your job ultimately will be to represent Vigilant Watch when dealing with people. You represent the guild in a positive and respectful way. The highest priority is maintaining a fun environment, enforcing language policy, and generally keeping and enhancing the reputation of our guild. You should strive to enforce these things with fairness and courtesy at all times.

As a senior member of the guild, you are someone people in the guild should be able to trust to turn to and your response should be patient and kind. You should not escalate or dramatize, that is not GM like. In other words, what you say and do will be considered the actions of the guild, so you will need to be in control of your emotions, especially with those that would try your patience. If you find you are at your wit’s end, it is far better to seek the counsel of a fellow GM Active and hand things off than to lose your composure and do something that everyone else will regret later on.

We have faith in your ability and trust you will use good judgement and common sense in the decisions that you make. Remember you are an official representative of Vigilant Watch and the GM Actives. You are a highly trusted friend and ally.

Our guild does not seek to be considered “HARDCORE” nor “ELITISTS.” Diversity is our strength, not our weakness, and we prove this by allowing people to make and learn from mistakes. Remember to focus on the esteem of those we seek to help, we don’t ever want to embarrass or humiliate anyone at anytime. When we lose members, we’ve ultimately failed.

We always reprimand privately in whisper and publicly give praise.

As part of our policy we do not allow harsh language. We do not allow porn or x-rated chat. The best guideline is to consider conversations in public mumble and chat just like you would expect at polite dinner conversation. No sex, religion or politics as these topics can be quite personal and divisive.

We have great expectations of you, but we would never have given you the challenge if we didn’t believe you would be any less than exceptional.

    Your Friends,

    MetalBeast & Active  GMs
